Holy moly, guys! Did you know that the horror genre is persistently rising in the Caribbean? Well, it is!
Genre distributor The Horror Collective is thrilled to announce it has acquired North American rights to Diablo Rojo PTY.
Based on local folktales, Diablo Rojo PTY is deemed Panama's first horror film, directed by Sol Moreno, who is making her feature directorial debut! It is written and produced by J. Oskura Nájera and features a stellar cast including Carlos Carrasco (Speed and Blood In, Blood Out) and Leo Wiznitzer (Causa Justa and Hands of Stone).
Synopsis: A bus driver, his helper, a priest, and two policemen fall victim to a mysterious spell and end up lost somewhere in the Chiriqui jungle, where they will have to survive the creatures that inhabit the roads, with the old bus as their only refuge.
Based on the trailer, I can see this film getting audiences interested in traditional Panamanian myths that's been scaring people for generations!
