In honor of Tobe Hooper, I'd like to share my Top 5 Favorite Tobe Hooper Films.
It has truly been a sad summer for horror fans. We have lost another legendary horror director, Tobe Hooper. Just a few weeks ago we lost the zombie godfather George A. Romero. Now, we have lost peer Tobe Hooper, age 74. The cause of Mr. Hooper's death has yet to be revealed, but truth be told, I understand the family's privacy. The death of Tobe will be endured throughout horror world.
Below is my Top 5 Favorite Tobe Hooper Films, please keep in mind that my list may be very different from yours. You're very welcome to share your Top 5 Favorite Tobe Hooper Films in the comments!
5. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
What kind of human being would I be if this masterpiece wasn't on my list? Tobe proved to be a master of horror from the start. He forever altered the horror genre with the release of his low-budget classic that influenced contemporary authenticity to genre.

4. The Mangler (1995)
This film is about a laundry-folding machine that's possessed by a demon from Hell. The film stars Robert Englund. Need I say more? Just check it out if you haven't seen it!
3. The Funhouse (1981)
If you didn't know, I'm a sucker for slashers. I feel like this low-budget film is an underrated gem with a fun yet eerie atmosphere. It's definitely a must watch if you're a huge fan of slashers.
2. Salem's Lot (1979)
Hooper’s TV miniseries adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, “Salem’s Lot”. Although it was a made for TV movie, it's a very creepy and effective 1970s vampire film.
1. Mortuary (2005)
When I first watched this film, I was completely blown away! It instantly became one of my favorites. Check out my review HERE.
