TV Show -- Game of Thrones Season 4 Episode 9

Written by Tommy the Terror
*SPOILER ALERT*

People, Jon Snow was "the truth" last night. I just got off the phone with my brother and he agrees. I've been waiting to see Ned Stark's leadership qualities appear in Jon Snow, and my anticipation was met with a great performance. I admired his ascension from that short-tempered bastard in Winterfell to this wise leader in Castle Black. I felt proud to be watching the show, stood up like I was part of the Night's Watch. But the instant my knee popped, I sat down and figured I'd leave the fighting to Jon Snow and the other men.

This episode (Watchers on the Wall) offered many thrills and surprises. The giants looked menacing with their sunken facial features pursuing you in threatening charges. To make matters worse, one was riding a mammoth. Then there was the giant archer. I know you guys saw his big and how it catapulted a Night's Watchman higher than Seth Rogen in a cannabis farm. Plus, to make matters worse, these guys were surrounded by hundreds of thousands of other wildlings, all against a hundred or so men of the Night's Watch.

But the men of Castle Black maintained their vigor. Even Sam manned up once again, understanding what happens when a person reaches a "no holds barred" point in a fight. He explained to Pypar that "when you're nothing at all, there's no reason to be afraid." He also realized that when you have to protect someone or something, there are limits you can obtain that you've never imagined. Even the little boy stepped up and launched an arrow into Ygritte, Jon Snow's wildling girlfriend. That little kid encouraged me to jump from my chair to the medicine closet for the ibuprofen. I felt like I needed to fight, aching back and all.

Usually, I'm hurt when people die, but I was proud at the courageous men who held down Castle Black. Throughout the series, I teetered between liking and disliking Grenn. But he had my respect when I saw his body under the defeated Mag Mar Tun Doh Weg, leader among the giants that joined the Free Folk army. (*Cool note: Mag is played by Neil Fingleton, basketball player turned actor with a height of 7 feet 8 inches; considered to be the tallest man in the world.)

Finally, after surviving the first night, defeating what could possibly be the most ominous fighters of the Free Folk army, Jon decided to leave Castle Black in hopes of talking the army's leader into seizing this onslaught. I highly doubt that he will die soon; however, the favored characters of Game of Thrones are known for disappearing faster than a porno site when the wife walks in. Still, I feel that Jon Snow will not die until more of his heritage is revealed. Even then, I still feel bad for the Stark children. I dedicate the video below to them all.
