So, this film is somewhat connected to The Ring. Remember the whole haunted video tape passed from different people spreading the curse? Well, yeah, with the technology these days, it's not only a tape anymore! Sadako, the vicious spirit, is waiting to kill. She's hungry and wants souls and blood. Her hunger may be fed at a local high school where there is talk about a video online of someone committing suicide. So...yeah.
This follow-up of the film goes in further to the demented path. It's a modern horror filled with new discoveries. The sadistic videos of V/H/S 2 are a result of a second generation with even more gore, horror and madness within this all new anthropology.
In America, the government has sanctioned an annual 12-hour period in which any and all criminal activity—including murder—is legal. Oh.. I watched "the Apparition" recently, and even though the idea of the film was AWESOME.. the execution didn't do it for me... It left a lot of, HUH?, moments.
Already seen MANIAC and adored it!

Wow, actually some good ones coming out this month! Saw Maniac last month and it is definitely worth a look. I'm excited for Hatchet 3, V/H/S 2, World War Z (need to read the book first, though) and possibly The Purge, although I haven't heard much about it yet.
