Detention -- 2012 Trailer

Yay! So, I thought it would be cool to post up the trailer of this upcoming slasher flick! How can you not love slashers?! This film I THINK has an alternate story line...however, I could be wrong! Bleh. This film was directed by Joseph Kahn. I know this film was supposed to be released last year; instead, it'll officially be released April 6th, 2012!

Anyhow, the film is about seniors at Grizzly Lake High School and their path to graduation is approaching BUT it becomes a bit more complicated than usual! Pretty much a slasher movie killer comes to life and starts killing off students! And the students only way to survive is to slash their way out of detention!

Overall, I feel like this film is The Breakfast Club meets Scream!

Anyhow! If you have time to spare...I say check out the trailer below!

Film Review 29 -- Demons

This film was directed by Lamberto Bava and officially released May 30th, 1986. I so recommend this gore galore film! I give this 80's Italian classic 4 out of 5 queen skulls!

For now on I'd like to include a short film in my reviews because practice makes perfect! And one day, you'll be watching my horror movies in theaters!

Film Review 28 -- The Roommate

Thsi film was directed by Christian E. Christiansen and officially released on February 4th, 2011. I decided to do a FULL detail review on The Roommate--not quite horror but a thriller. Mainly because I wanted to film it how I would have liked to see it!

This film was awful...it's a remake to Single White Female which is on a whooole another level from this PG 13 flick. The only great thing about this film was the soundtrack. Oh yeah and I don't recommend this film! G'day!

I give this film 1 out of 5 queen skulls...it received another star for it's awesometastical soundtrack!

Film Review 27 -- The Woman in Black

This film was directed by James Watkins and officially released February 3rd, 2012. It was a beautiful movie to watch...however I was slight disappointed. I still recommend it!!

I give it 3 out of 5 queen skulls!

TRAILER -- Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

I had a previous post RIGHT HERE on Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter since I'm looking forward to checking out this film! I saw the trailer and just thought I'd share the update with you all! It'll be released June 22nd, 2012! The film pretty much revolves around President Abraham Lincoln--duh, who is on the go trying to rid the world of vampires! The vampires are somehow involved in the conflict behind the Civil War. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy the trailer!

Top 5 Valentines Day Horrors!

Hello my creepy friends! Since Valentine's Day is tomorrow I thought it would be quite awesome if I put together the top 5 Valentine's Day horrors to watch! I know alot of people are probably going to check out dramatic romance movies and that's fine--to each their own! However! I know for me, one of the closest things to my heart is horror movies, so what better way to spend your Valentine's Day?

5. My Boyfriend's Back

So, nothing says pure romance like a boyfriend coming back from the dead! Missy McCloud is the most beautiful girl in school, and Johnny Dingle has been in love with her for years. One night, Johnny is killed trying to win her over, and soon he comes back from the dead and wins Missy's heart. Awww. :) Ok...so this one is NOT horror, it's actually very cheesy and romantic. It had a couple of horror pieces in it. It'll be perfect for those who aren't looking for full horror--which is ridiculous, but to each their own!

4. Zombie Honeymoon

It's about a newlywed on their honeymoon and somehow the husband becomes a zombie. But the wife loves her husband so much--regardless that he is a flesh eating, dead walking zombie that she helps get people to eat! Now, that is pure love! Nothing says "I love you!" like helping your zombie husband find fresh humans to chump down on! This film is all about love!

3. Candyman

A children's ghost story comes to life! I know that we all love chocolate candy on Valentine's Day but what about a box of razor blades or perhaps a bag full of needles? Not so much! This film scared me so much as a child and I'm pretty sure it'll leave both you & snookum puss holding each other! As much as I adore chocolate, it made me think twice before opening up a box of chocolates! And surprisingly! This film IS indeed a horrific love story and definitely a MUST watch!

2. Valentine

Women get stalked by a guy who they made fun of in Middle School...particularly at a Valentine's Day dance. Now he's striking back on Valentine's Day. So, it wasn't the greatest movie because it was predictable, but it was entertaining and had creative deaths!

1. My Bloody Valentine *ORIGINAL!*

You should have known this would be #1! On Valentine's Day, some miners die because two workers were completely careless and wanted to go to the annual V-Day dance instead of doing their freakin jobs. The only survivor of the accident kills off two workers and warns the town to never have another Valentine's Day dance again....or else! Literally! That's what he said! Anyhow, 20 years go by and you know they aren't going to listen!

So that's my list. What better way to spend your Valentine's Day snugged up with your significant other? The whole creepy atmosphere still relates to love in it's own twisted way!

What's your favorite Valentine's Day horror film?

Interview -- Bobby Rhodes, the most famous pimp in horror history!

I hope everyone is doing great, I know I am! I was so lucky to have the opportunity to interview Bobby Rhodes! If you don't know who he is...shame on you! But it's ok, you can watch the interview and be introduced to him.

Bobby Rhodes is the most humble person I was ever able to encounter. I've always been a fan of his awesome acting and it was such an honor and absolute pleasure to be able to interview Tony the Pimp! Mr. Rhodes is best known among horror fans for his portrayal of characters in the movies Demons and Demons 2--both of which I SO recommend! I just love how he emerged into the horror world. Amazing! I do plan on having a horror movie with a pimp and I totally would LOVE if Mr. Bobby Rhodes was the pimp.

Anyhow! Check out my interview where I ask Mr. Rhodes the basic questions and not so basic questions! Enjoy!

Film Review 26 -- Chronicle

This film was directed by Josh Trank and officially released February 3rd, 2012. It has some horror qualities but not a horror, regardless, it was very enjoyable! I recommend it.

I give it 4 out of 5 queen skulls!

Upcoming Horrors of February 2012!

It's February 1st, 2012 AND you should so know what that means! Let's see what we have in store THIS magical month for horror! Whether it's straight to DVD or theaters, here is the list of horrors coming out this month! If you've already checked any of the two out, please let me know; or if you plan on checking any out...let me know anyway.

The Woman in Black - RELEASE DATE: February 3rd, 2012!
In the film, we follow a young lawyer named Arthur Kipps who is ordered to travel to a remote village and sort out a recently deceased client’s papers. As Arthur is working alone in the client's isolated house, he begins to uncover tragic secrets. Things start to change when he gets a glimpse of a woman in black. He tries to dig up more information by asking locals but they all remain silent.

Chronicle - RELEASE DATE: February 3rd, 2012!
Three high school friends gain superpowers after making some incredible discovery. Pretty soon, they find their lives spinning out of control and their bond tested as they embrace their darker sides.

The Mortician - RELEASE DATE: February 14th, 2012!
This film is about a man who's a mortician--duh! He is emotionally numbed and closed off to the corruption in the city he lives in, New Orleans. One day he discovers a striking tattoo on the body of a murdered young woman, triggering a sequence of haunting dreams from his childhood and forcing him to confront his emotions. This sounds like it could be interesting!

The Dead - RELEASE DATE: February 14th, 2012!
A film directed by 2 directors and it's a zombie film!

11-11-11 - RELEASE DATE: February 14th, 2012!
11-11-11 will take on the idea of 11 gates of Heaven and how on 11:11 on the 11th day of the 11th month, the 11th gate will open up and something from another world will enter the earthly realm for 49 minutes. I was hoping this movie didn't let me down and you know what? It did! You can watch my review on it HERE!

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance 3D - RELEASE DATE: February 17th, 2012!
Johnny is still struggling with his curse as the devil's bounty hunter and he's hiding out in a remote part of Eastern Europe when he is recruited by a secret sect of the church to save a young boy from the devil. And yeah...I'm not really a huge fan of the series.

Retreat - RELEASE DATE: February 21st, 2012!
A husband and wife rent a remote island cottage while trying to repair their marriage when one day they find a bio hazard-suited soldier washed up on shore. He warns them that everybody on the mainland has been killed by an airborne virus. *GASP!*

Gone - RELEASE DATE: February 24th, 2012!
This a thriller...yet I'm going to include it on this list! It revolves around a young woman named Jill who returns home from her night shift to find her sister's bed empty. She's pretty much convinced the serial killer who kidnapped her two years before has come back to finish the job. But of course, the police do not believe Jill.

Rabies - RELEASE DATE: February 28th, 2012!
So! There is a psychotic serial killer on the loose in the woods and he/she crosses paths with a group of unsuspecting teenagers. Soon there are people who are dying one by one… but the bad guy isn’t who you think, as always. This film was labeled as Israel's first-ever slasher horror film!

Also the film received a lot of recognition from Tribeca film festival, so of course I'm interesting in checking it out!
