This FANTASTICAL film was directed by awesome Tim Burton and was released March 30th, 1988. Even though this film is over 20 years old, people will be watching it for years to come.
If you've never seen this movie, you're lame. With that said...on to the review. This movie is pretty much about newlyweds who are killed in a ridiculous car acciden. Now, they aren't in heaven; instead, they are on a looooong waiting list. So, they're ghost stuck in their used to be big, isolated home in Maitland, Maine. Before they can earn their wings, the two must occupy their old house as ghosts for the next fifty years. Sadly, their home soon comes under the ownership of the Deetz family!
The two newlyweds, horrified that they have to share their home with this obnoxious family, try to scare the Deetz family out. But their scaring tactics are insanely lame. Oober desperate, they seek help from Beetlejuice, the profane, sex craved, grossed out spirit. The issue is that Beetlejuice is not at all trust worthy and does not work well with others. He also falls for the Deetz gloomy "My whole life is a black room" daughter Lydia.
It's a wonderful movie....one of my favorites filled with awesomeness and all sorts of creatures and ghosts! What a joy! I can watch this movie back to back with no compliants whatsoever!
RANDOM! I hear that there is going to be a sequel to this movie. It was supposed to happen back in the early 90s but there were some disagreements, so the film was never made. It was supposed to be Beetlejuice in Hawaii or something, he followed the Deetz family there. Anyhow...not sure as of yet when the film will be released or even if they started working on it. But I did read that Michael Keaton wants to be Beetlejuice; so, joy! HOWEVER! It could all just be a rumor...
